What is the history of your home or place of work? Who lived there before you? If the walls could speak, what stories would they tell?
Claire has lots of experience researching buildings as well as people. Whether it be a pub, a factory or a home, Claire can use tithe maps, land registers, deeds and planning applications (such as the one pictured found in the Wiltshire and Swindon Archives) to show the story of your building and how it changed both in appearance and use through its lifetime. Using census records and Business Directories, Claire can introduce you to previous occupants and owners, who they were and how they shaped your historic building.

The age of the historic building will impact on how long it takes to research so I charge per hour for this one.
£20 an hour plus travel expenses (to the building or archives)
